His practice is managed by Simone Fortescue, who has worked alongside Mr. Blackburn for five years and will guide you with warmth and expertise from your very first enquiry through every step of your surgical journey.

Mr. Blackburn and his team use Carebit — a premium, cloud-hosted practice management system built for private clinicians. Carebit uses medical-grade AI to assist with note-taking and letter writing, which means less time with his head down at a screen and more time focused entirely on you and your concerns.

Every consultation is about listening. Carebit handles the administration so that Mr. Blackburn can give you his full, undivided attention — from your very first enquiry through to your follow-up care.

Your privacy is protected. Conversations and clinical notes are never used for AI training. All data is held securely to the highest medical-grade standards, in full compliance with UK data protection law.

From your very first enquiry to your follow-up care, here is what you can expect as a self-pay patient.

Make an Enquiry

Contact the practice by phone or via the form below. Simone, Mr. Blackburn's Practice Manager, will speak with you personally and arrange a consultation at the clinic that is best suited to you — whether that is Kingston, Guildford, East Grinstead or Benenden.

Initial Consultation  (30–45 minutes)

Mr. Blackburn will take a full history, carry out an examination and explain in honest, clear terms what is achievable. A key aim of this appointment is to ensure that expectations can be met. You will have the opportunity to view a comprehensive gallery of before-and-after photographs from patients who have undergone similar procedures to the one being discussed.

Consultation Letter & Consent Information

After your appointment you will receive a personalised letter summarising what was discussed. Mr. Blackburn will also send a comprehensive consent document by email — a Concentric consent form that sets out the benefits of the proposed procedure alongside the potential risks, so you can read through everything carefully in your own time.

Cooling-Off Period  (minimum 2 weeks)

There is a mandatory cooling-off period of at least two weeks before any further steps are taken. This time is yours — to reflect, research and decide entirely at your own pace, without any pressure.

Second Consultation  — No charge

If you would like to proceed, Simone will arrange a second appointment with Mr. Blackburn at no charge. This is an opportunity to ask any further questions and confirm that what you are hoping for and what Mr. Blackburn can deliver are a good match.

Booking Your Surgery

When you are ready, Simone will book your procedure. A deposit is required at the time of booking, and the full balance is due two weeks before your surgery date.

Surgery & Follow-Up Care  — No further charges

Mr. Blackburn's focus is straightforward: to get you healed and healthy. All follow-up appointments after your surgery are provided free of charge — including in the rare event of a minor complication. There are no unexpected fees at any stage of your aftercare.

Mr. Blackburn is recognised by all major private medical insurers. Please contact your insurer for pre-authorisation before your appointment.

Please note: Mr. Blackburn does not recognise AXA Health. If you hold AXA cover, you are welcome to attend as a self-pay patient.

The pre-operative appointment and all follow-up consultations within 6 months of surgery are provided free of charge for self-pay patients.
